Chef Francis Thuan
Thuan Tran, also recognized as chef Francis Thuan, is a respected name in Vietnam’s culinary scene know for his fire-cooking style and relentless exploration of local ingredients. A true adventurer, Francis travelled across Vietnam to learn about agriculture from farmers; or alongside One Star House Party chefs he cooked Saigon, Bangkok, and Mount Everest Basecamp which is at a 5,364 m altitude. With all of his passion and hard work, Francis worked his way in various top-tier restaurants in Ho Chi Minh city before opened Esta. Since then, Francis has tended his fire and continues his quest to bring out the best in Vietnam’s ingredients at Esta.
